"Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing, to declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him." Psalm 92:13-15 (NKJV)

Growing up in Florida, I spent countless hours fishing with my brothers. My dad taught me early: if you want to catch fish, you must be intentional. Find a good spot, anchor up and commit to it.

The same is true spiritually. Being planted in the house of the Lord isn't automatic. It's a choice. You decide where your roots go down. You choose whether to stay shallow and portable, or to dig deep and commit.

Here's the truth: Flourishing doesn't happen by accident. It happens when you intentionally plant yourself where God can grow you.

This week, ask yourself: Where are my roots? Am I planted, or am I just drifting?

One step: If you haven't already, make a commitment. Not just to attend church, but to be planted in community. Tell someone, "I'm choosing to put down roots here."

You can't flourish if you're constantly uprooting yourself. Choose to be planted.

If you know someone who's been searching for a church home or spiritually drifting, reach out today and invite them to plant themselves with you at Building Church.
